Anyone who has had the experience of planning a large party knows
the amount of preparation and organization that it requires. Being
completely immersed in the planning of my son's Bar Mitzvah, I
realize this first hand. I honestly do not know how I could have
coordinated this affair without the help of GuestWare. It completely
organized the guest list from the start. After entering names and
addresses one time, I am able to obtain an organized list of all
the invitees (something that my calligrapher was very impressed
with). Each entry can be assigned a category such as relatives,
friends, co-workers etc. which is very beneficial in assigning
tables (another feature in the program).
Furthermore, when the response cards start arriving, I can keep
track of guests that are able to attend, those that are unable
to attend, any gifts that have been received and if thank you notes
have been written. Additionally, the program enables me to see
if any out of town guests need hotel accommodations or transportation
to the affair. At any point during the planning stage, I can get
a tally on those guests that have responded and the number of RSVPs
still outstanding.
GuestWare also enables me to get a count on the number of adults
and children, males and females. This is very helpful when you
need to figure out the number of kipot you need to order or the
number of goodie bags required for the kids. This program has
proven to be invaluable to me for my son's Bar Mitzvah but it
obviously can be applied to any type of affair. It is fantastic!

I used the PartyGUESTware to help plan my daughter’s wedding. My initial
need was to be able to alphabetize my guest list but I soon discovered that
even that basic function allowed me to gather information that would be useful
in the future-out of towner info, thank you note details, etc. The different
reports made it possible to keep track of the different functions associated
with a wedding, (engagement party, shower, after wedding brunch, etc.) without
duplication of time and effort. It even afforded me the ability to create invitation
lists specific to each party with the appropriate form of the name of the invitee.
The capabilities of this program are too numerous to mention
but I would be really remiss if I did not tell how the ability
to manipulate the seating details kept me sane. Less than 1 week
before the wedding we received a few cancellations which left
me with tables that were too small. In addition my future son-in-law
decided his family’s tables could be better and wanted
to makes some changes. Needless to say, the lists for the calligrapher
and the catering hall were already done but the PartyGUESTware
allowed quick movement of the guests and created the lists both
by table number and alphabetically without any aggravation.
I guess you can tell I am a big fan of this software. Could
I have planned the wedding without it? Of course. Did it make
my life sooooo much easier? YOU BET! I will definitely use it
again. By the way, my daughter used the program to record her
engagement, shower and wedding gifts and used the resulting report
to write her thank you notes. She still didn’t like that
job but agreed the PartyGUESTware made it a whole lot easier
and quicker to do.
